Aishwarya Rai was born in the South indian state of Karnataka in Manglore on 1st Nov 1973. She was younger of the two siblings, her brother being 3 years elder. When she was about 4 years old, her family moved to Bombay permanently. Her father worked as a merchant navy officer. Aishwarya did her schooling at Arya Vidya Mandir, Santacruz. By this time, Aishwarya had started getting modelling assignments. She then decided to take a break from architecture and concentrate on modelling. This green-blue eyed beauty stole ads for many prestigious firms, the ones which brought her into the limelight were the garden sari and the pepsi ad. Crowned Miss femina '94 runner up, she was a hot favorite to win the miss world title, which she did ! Her beauty and charm made her India's darling. She bagged Filmfare Award for best actress for her performance in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) as Ajay Devgan's wife who is in love with another man. In April 2003, she suffered an accident on the sets of Khakee (2003). She broke a bone in one foot and suffered severe cuts. Aishwarya's bagged a parallel role opposite 'Meryl Streep' in French director 'Coline Serreau's' Chaos. 2003 has been her annus mirabilis. On the jury at Cannes, the international festival circuit with Chokher Bali, the crossover sets of Bride And Prejudice, the cover of Time magazine. And now she's all set to waltz into Hollywood. In 2004, she was chosen by TIME Magazine's Asian Edition as one of Asia's "100 Most Influential People." Rai was the subject of a 60 Minutes profile on January 2, 2005 - "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World." A month later she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, and on April 25, 2005, she was featured on Oprah's "Women Across the Globe" segment. A wax figure of Rai is on display in London's Madame Tussaud's wax museum.

Although frequently the subject of gossip column speculation about an imminent Hollywood career, it was only in 2004 that Rai finally acted in a foreign film. British director Gurinder Chadha hired her to play the heroine in Bride and Prejudice, a Hollywood-funded but Bollywood-ized version of Jane Austen's classic novel, Pride and Prejudice. The movie did well at the box office and Aishwarya's Hollywood profile rose a notch.

Rai is now said to be signed for another Hollywood movie, Rolland Joffe's project Singularity. She will star opposite Brendan Fraser.

She is in the cast for The Last Legion co-starring Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley.

Amisha Patel

Amisha whenever she hit's a low, she bounced back with one major hit that saved her the blues. Be it Gadar or then Humraaz. Now she is reapeating this in the form of historical The Rising a Ketan Mehta and Aamir Khan's projects. Amisha Patel was born on 19th June 1979 in Mumbai. For studies she went to abroad. Determination has been one of her strengths. Even when she was in Standard IV, Amisha was sure that she wanted to be the head girl of the school. When she told her mother about it, she laughed it off. Amisha worked towards her goal by improving upon her academic record and by the time she reached Standard XII, she became one. While doing Economics in the United States, Amisha kept herself busy teaching classical dance in her free time. She did join a financial company but a regular nine to five job couldn't hold her for long. She joined Satyadev Dubey's theatre group and started doing plays after convincing her parents a process that took a year. Armed with a foreign degree and an ultra respectable family background Amisha Patel was to be the CEO of the family business. Fate have something to do with her. Director Rakesh Roshan had already signed Kareena Kapoor opposite his son and had even started shooting with her. When that association did not work out Roshan remembered his fascination with his school friend Amit Patel's limpid-eyed daughter at a sangeet celebration. Rakesh Roshan even remarked that if he ever made a film with his son he would take her as a heroine. And this way she got her debut film Kaho Naa Pyar Hai. After that she had given other hits also like Gadar, Humraaz. In 2003 she had a Parwane which was a flop. Amisha Patel believe what is in destiny no one can take away from you. She replaced Priyanka Chopra in Humraaz. In her debut film 'KNPH' she replaced Kareena. Amisha Patel has the best collection of bags and belts in tinselville. Whenever she goes abroad she shops for expensive accessories. Her collection includes from Louis Vuitton, Salvotore Feragamo, Christian Dior, Gucci and Versace. Her forth coming films are Vikram Bhatt's Elaan in which she is playing a journalist. Then The Rising for which she is very thrilled to work with Aamir Khan. She is playing an innocent bengali girl, Jwala who gone through a devastating time before a Britisher comes into her life. These days her personel life is also has a lot going on. She had Vikram Bhatt eating out of her pretty palms in venice and now when back home its Abhishek Bachchan who is showing a lot of interest in her. Both tuned in Morocco when they were there for Film Festival few months ago.

Ayesha Takiya Video Song

It has always been my dream to be an actress and God has blessed me with what I have. I completely love it and enjoy it thoroughly and being in front of the camera gives me a real high. And people like my fans give me so much love which I really respect and thankful for”, says the gorgeous Ayesha Takia, who has already made a name for herself in the competitive world of Bollywood (a sobriquet for the Hindi film industry). This young and lovely Indian film actress hails from Chembur in the city of Mumbai in Maharashtra

She was born on April 10, 1985 into a mixed family. While her father Nishit is from the Gujrati community, her mother is an Anglo- Indian Muslim (half British and half Maharashtrian) by the name of Faridah. Natasha Takia, her younger sister, was born in the year 1988. Ayesha Takia completed her schooling in St. Anthony's High School. Since her mother has a British background, Ayesha grew up speaking English at her home. She learned Hindi and Telugu when she ventured into the world of cinema. Among actors, Ayesha Takia’s favourites are Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan. Sridevi and Rani Mukherji are her favorite actresses..

Ayesha Takia made her first appearance on television in the well-known Complan advertisement campaign which has the famous “I’m a Complan Boy! I'm a Complan Girl!” logo. Interestingly she worked with Shahid Kapoor in this campaign. Then she made her presence felt at the age of fifteen in Falguni Pathak’s music video Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye, in the song by the same name. The very next year Ayesha worked in the video, Shake It Daddy. These small achievements caught the attention of the film industry, and she was offered a few films.

Ayesha’s debut film is “Taarzan: The Wonder Car” where she worked opposite another newcomer Vatsal Seth. This film is a bit different from the usual mainstream love story as it has certain supernatural elements in it. Talking about the film Ayesha says: “As an actress I want to do all roles that would inspire or challenge me. The first film that I did was not like the usual commercial flick, so I am trying to do varied roles.” Although the film failed to make a mark at the box office, Ayesha earned rave reviews for her performance.

She bagged the Filmfare Best Debut Award in the year 2004 for her performance in Taarzan. Some of the films fared poorly at the box office. But she again came to limelight in the year 2006 with her powerful performance in the low budget film Dor. In this film she plays the role of a young widowed Rajasthani woman called Meera who stays in a conventional joint family. Again in 2006, Ayesha Takia came to be considered amongst the top ten desirable women of India in a survey that was carried out by Zoom, an Indian TV channel

.

Apart from the two films mentioned, Ayesha has also acted in films like Dil Maange More (2004), Socha Na Tha (2005), Shaadi No. 1 (2005), Home Delivery: Aapko...
