Anushka Sharma to chose the angels for Knights

SRK has come up with a unique idea this time to promote his IPL team ‘Kolkata Knight Riders’. He will choose the 6 leading cheer leaders for his team through a T.V. dance reality show called ‘ Knights and Angels’. The show will be hosted by Purab Kohli and will have Sourav Ganguly, the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders as the judge. Pretty Anushka Sharma will be seen as the special celebrity judge in the first episode.

‘Knights and Angels’ will be a 6-episode series that will be telecast at 10.00 p.m IST every Saturday, starting 28th February 2009 on NDTV Imagine. The 24 short listed girls chosen through nationwide auditions will be mentored by ace choreographer Shiamak Davar.

Speaking at the launch Sourav Ganguly said, “I have never been a judge before. It’s equally exciting and nerve-wracking for me and I’m really looking forward to a whole new experience. Shah Rukh and Juhi have promised to guide me and I assure my Knights that we will find those ‘Angels’ that will cheer us to victory.”

Speaking on this new and exciting show, Shah Rukh said, “Cricket is a perfect blend of hard work and entertainment. We are very excited about the whole challenge of finding the best cheerleading squad for our Knights. These girls will become a key part in our quest for victory this season.
